Community
The Community section of the Horizons web site provides access to (1) non-media files produced by Redefined Horizons, and (2) data produced by others, but made available through the Redefined Horizons web site. This section of the web site has a web page devoted to individual geospatial professions.
On our CAD Community web page you will find a list of free drawing viewers and editors; plotting and printing resources, CAD blocks, and checklists for drafting processes. The Graphic Design and Web Design community web page contains a list of the best web design books; a list of web site design galleries; a list of web design tools and applications; a list of web design information sources; a list of web design blogs and RSS feeds; a list of sources for web design tips, tricks, and tutorials; links to information on CSS frameworks and templates; and CSS templates from Redefined Horizons that you can download and use for your own web site design projects. The GIS Community web page contains a list of common California ESPG codes, information on the California State Plane Coordinate zones, and a list of GIS software resources.
The Java Programming Community web page lists the reasons why Java programming is a great programming language, discusses disadvantages of the Java programming language, and has a list of my favorite articles on Java programming. The Land Surveying Community Community web page has links to the San Joaquin County Filed Survey Map Index maintained by Redefined Horizons, information on California Central Valley flood control, and data from land surveying monument community monitoring. You will also find links to downloadable maps on this community web page.
